Christoph Otto was born in West-Berlin in 1966,
after years abroad he now lives in the German capital
again.
Study of photography at the "Centro de los Estudios
de la Imagen" in Madrid. Diploma for photography
and Master of photojournalism. Further education in
journalistic writing at the Henri-Nannen-Schule in
Berlin. Photo assignments for German and international
magazines. His works are published in international
books and magazines among others in Geo, Merian, Neon,
Marie Claire, Life, Figaro Magazine and Geographical.
They are presented in exhibitions, represented in
collections and museums, like in the Japanese 21st
century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa. Main
emphasis of this photographic work are reports on
extraordinary human ways of life. His internationally
awarded works are like films - concise, passionate
visual stories with a moving beginning, climax, and
ending. He himself works out his photos in his own
laboratory. He is the author of the texts for his
reports and often decisively influences the layout
of his articles and books. His pictures - emotional
and vivid - pay homage to mankind.
